Adidas 3ST.004 Shoes

Co-created by the Adidas design team and pro team riders, the latest addition to the 3ST family includes fresh colourways that highlight an upgraded silhouette and a selection of streamlined details that continue to portray the progression within a new era of skate-orientated footwear.

Designed with a monochrome aesthetic - reminiscent of heritage Adidas styling - the uppers of these 3ST.004 shoes are built from premium white leather with perforated detailing on the toes. Curved sections create a layered effect on the side panels, where the brands distinctive three-stripe branding has been added through back leather segments that tie in with other contrasting highlights across the back of the shoe. Above this, the tip of the tongue has been padded and stitched in three sections which allows the material to support the top of the foot. Breathable mesh is visible on the lower half, offering a flexible fit. Adding further comfort and support, the inner edge of the ankle has been lined with a smooth white cotton and meets with a lightweight black moulded sockliner, designed with Adidas branding in white.

With a focus on providing performance and technical detailing, the outsole of the 3ST.004s are what really stand out and capture attention. A leading feature is the responsive boost midsole, designed with a 3D shape reminiscent of foam that sits in between a black highly textured grip line and a light brown translucent panel that wraps around the front of the foot - inspired by the Kegler Super released by Adidas in 1983. With noticeable improvement on boardfeel in this style, the tread design furthers this with a combination of a rubber herringbone and a Geoflex pattern.

Using Thrasher Magazines 2018 Skater of the Year - Tyshawn Jones - as muse for this latest rendition of the 3ST, this energy fuelled style sets the tone for whats to come from Adidas. The brand are really setting the bar on skate-oriented styles which include the latest technology whilst maintaining an air of heritage through distinctive branding and modern silhouettes.
